ENERGY DEP’T SLASHES NUKE POLYGRAPHS

“The Energy Department says it is sharply cut­ting back on the num­ber of lie detec­tor tests for peo­ple with nuclear secret access,” UPI reports.
“Deputy Energy Secretary Kyle McSlarrow made the sur­prise announce­ment at a Senate hear­ing. He said the new pol­icy likely will reduce the num­ber of peo­ple given poly­graph tests to 4,500, mainly in sen­si­tive arms and intel­li­gence posts. Some 20,000 are given the test now.”
