Maybe the crooks are wimpier in Tokyo. But I can’t imag­ine that a whole lot of thieves are going to be scared off by this Japanese secu­rity drone.
“The robot, the first of its kind in the world, can lay down a smoke­screen against intrud­ers,” reports Australia’s Courier-​​Mail. And, it can mark “unwel­come intrud­ers with paint balls.“
Tmsuk Inc. plans on rent­ing out these robo-​​guards to pri­vate cor­po­ra­tions, gov­ern­ment offices, and hos­pi­tals start­ing in April. The com­pany is ask­ing for 3 mil­lion ($36,500) a year for the mechan­i­cal defenders.
