That’s how Microsoft researchers are describ­ing SenseCam, a “badge-​​sized wear­able cam­era that cap­tures up to 2000 VGA images per day. In addi­tion, sen­sor data such as move­ment, light level and tem­per­a­ture is recorded.“
This is undoubt­edly linked to MyLifeBits, the effort by mini­com­puter pio­neer (turned Microsoft brain) Gordon Parks to cre­ate a sur­ro­gate, dig­i­tal mem­ory. And it sounds a whole lot like LifeLog, the Pentagon’s now-​​defunct effort to cap­ture and cat­e­go­rize every­thing about a person’s life.
