Wonder Weapons, $20 a Pop

MagCannon.jpgI’ve been a fool.
Obedient sheep that I am, I believed all those government and scientific reports that laser rifles and hand-held force fields were decades away from reality — if they were possible at all. Cloaked in the dull skepticism of a flat-earther, I naively thought that advances like “Electro-Hypnotizers” and “Ion Ray Guns” were the stuff of science fiction, or merely hoaxes.
Now, friends, my eyes are open wide. The truth has been revealed. Not only are these items for real, but a helpful Internet retailer — “Information Unlimited,” out of Amherst, New Hampshire — has been thoughtful enough to sell them all under one electronic roof. Huzzah!
My only question is what to buy first. Should it be the “Telekinetic Enhancer”? The “Sonic Nausea Device” Or maybe I should go with the “Magnetic Cannon.” Luckily, the plans for most of these projects are only $20. So I can afford to make some mistakes.

Sonic Nauseau Device? MYTH. Haven’t you seen Discovery Channel’s “Mythbusters” — they tried to do that — w/ a concert level sounds system. It was under the heading of the ‘Brown Note’ (w/ the myth being that a specific frequency was enough to cause you to lose control of your bowels).
    They never found it.

Actually, the ‘Sonic Nausea Device’ is a completely different device from the one on mythbusters. While the brown note used very low frequencies, these types of devices use an ultrasonic or very high piched tone to cause their effects. I can say from experience in laboratories that they do cause some effects that vary from person to person, although at very high dB levels they are very effective.
You can actually buy devices similar to this as ‘dog punishers’ and ‘rodent deterrents’ for around $25, and they do tend to work to some degree depending on the power of the device.

Gupta’s 1st law of creative anomaly:
“If it looks too good to be true, that’s because it is”.
All these gadgets are the bees knees when it comes to crowd control, non-lethal defence etc., and at 20$ a pop a real bargin. For less than the cost of a single Stryker, you could outfit every coalition vehicle in Iraq with one of these.
That is, of course, if you can live with their one minor flaw:
    THEY DON’T WORK !
    Reality check, people.

Just don’t buy his kits. They’re junk. My ion ray gun kit didn’t even come with a printed circuit board, just a bread board. I still haven’t finished it out of disgust of the money I spent and the crap I got. He does have a book you can find on Amazon, I’d recommend that because all of the plans are already in the book.

Besides, here’s something scary: there are still people out there who truly, honestly do believe the Earth is flat (and, for that matter, that someone who has invented a functioning “Telekinetic Enhancer” would sell the plans on the web for $20).
And here’s something even scarier: Most of these people can legally vote !

    Gee guys,
I have actually bough some prebuilt(phasor property Guard(also featured in Radio Electronics magazine) along with the “Phasor Burning Stunwand“
I had the Phasor property guard sensors mounted internal to a van I owned at the time… It would produce headaches lasting for hours when triggered.
The phasor burning stun wand sits permanently unpowered about 3 feet from me… that sucker can be lethal, will burn a hole in the side of an aluminum drink can at full charge, 1 1/4 charge (after burning a hole in the above al drink can) it was almost human lethal. These devices do work and DONT have any safeguards on them for fools.
The designs and devices are the creation of an MIT alumni in physics and are research prototypes and can in very many cases be very lethal. He has published 2 books containing many of his designs.
someone who actually constructed these plans
    and ordered preassembled devices

A copy of this guy’s first book fell into my hands years ago… the kits are crap, but the designs are fine. I bought a tesla coil kit from this company years ago and when it arrived the parts shipped didn’t match the manifest… I ended up having to take a trip to the hardware store to get the missing bits. I called the company and was told that they have a lot of high school kids working for them in the summer, and they often make mistakes in filling the orders that come in.
This stuff isn’t snakeoil, though of course the effectiveness of the devices is undoubtedly exaggerated. The ‘Telekinetic Enhancer’ is obviously a novelty, not a serious attempt at demonstrating true telekinesis. Some of the weapons are too weak to take seriously, but some of them are profoundly dangerous, so be careful.

the device maybe legitimate and real but it is powered, like the rest of the lifters sold on the site, by the biefeld(not beifield)-brown effect, which is an electrokinetic effect. it does not amount to any sort of anti-gravity, which is completely hypothetical. the only connection between quartz crystals and any anti-gravity effects was a 1924 hoax article published in ‘Science and Invention’ magazine.

It seems neither of us can type straight, guero. I typoed the name, you typoed your bracketed correction of my typo.
The jury is still out on just what is happening with the capacitive lift devices. The electric wind theory has mixed outcomes as of the last I’ve heard, with revolving counter claims of flawed tests by and from both sides of the argument.
http://farshores.org/tbrown.htm has a fairly decent writeup on the matter.
In any event, the lifter is certainly not suspended by strings or the power leads in the video.

All devices should work if constructed properly.(except for the telekinetic enhancer which is obviously an ebay fraud type thing) I got the book(Electronic Gadget for the Evil Genius by Rob Ianni) for all of them except the novelty telekinetic item. The big destructive high voltage kill people things are fortunately(or unfornately depending on your point of view) very expensive, over $100–200 dollars. So if your going to buy some plans for the big things make sure you have the money. Smaller items like the lifters and sonic pain beam are about $25 dollars. The ion raygun may not be appreciated by those who expect it to blow gaping holes in walls, but be appreciated by those who want to break other people’s electronics and make metal objects charged with static electricity from a distance. The lifters do work, but there are really not antigravity. They’re really atype of ionic engine.

I can actually state from personal experience that ultrasonics over time can make one very ill indeed.
Several hours of working in a room with pulsing high power ultrasonic sensors caused me to become extremely ‘ill’ in that concentration became difficult, headache developed, and slight vertigo occured.
It was quite an unpleasent experience and occured twice (before lunch and after) before I traced the source of my discomfort. Eliminating the ultrasonics had near immediate effect but it took several minutes for full recovery the first time and 15 minutes the next.
The second time I was at point where work became a blur and I was forced to cease until my head cleared. My older, rather deaf co-worker across the room was affected but to a much less degree.
Also note that these sensors were very high power as ultrasonics go. When a joker thought they would be cute and aimed it directly at me, I immediately was disoriented, unable to hear, and was hit with intense pain. It is hard to describe the actual sensation as it was not comprable to any other. To go deaf from loud silence, lose sense of position, and feel pain where sensation should not occur is extremely unpleasent.
Yes I believe at least some of the devices work but also believe that they are far from toys.
Oh… and a side note, putting one’s hand under the sensor gave an immediate sensation of… something weird. I lack words to describe sensation properly. Perhaps ‘unhealthy’ would be applicable. :P

I remember a similar group that offered kits like this years ago called the jack ford science company. Anyway, some of these kits sound fairly amusing. I have heard about some of the sound weapons that have been tested on civilians that do produce illness. Tesla had a device that would generate resonate frequencies that could make people lose bowel control. Mark twain who was a friend of Tesla and once at one of his social gatherings, tried out his invention, much to his discontent. Anyway, maybe it might work, hey its only $20 and if it does, what a riot that would be.

Don’t deal with UI!!! They have been around for decades but their claims are all bogus. Not only did I have to threaten them with a Consumer Complaint to get my shotgun microphone plans but when I got them they were poor copies of an extremely bad idea. The plans were as if some paranoid schzoid designed them with a crayon (OK I’m using hyperbole a bit) but the plans were just stupid and unworkable. I can imagine that there other stuff is just the over active imagination of New Hamphshire back-woods ninnys and retards!!!
