Greetings and happy World Space Week.
Noah is off this week so I’m filling in, again. I’m the editor of InsideDefense.com and its companion NewsStand, and I’ve been covering national security for about 13 years. I also write on occasion for Scientific American and others.
In addition to World Space Week, the next five days will bring a few other big events — including a major Quadrennial Defense Review meeting we’ll be dealing with soon, as well as the Association of the U.S. Army’s annual meeting in Washington, DC.
Here’s a little Rapid Fire to start things off.
* Why are stolen U.S. cars being used in Iraq bombings?
* V-22 “unleashes hell”?
* The little CajunBot that could
* Beyond bomb-sniffing
* Darleen Druyun — remember her? — is out

Unless there is more to this v-22 add than the print one I saw this morning I would have to say this is just another attack just because they are looking for something to complain about. The print add I saw showed a v-22 in hover with men fast roping from it. In the background is a Mosque. While the Mosque is in the picture you can’t tell what is being assulted, hell for all you know they are there to defend the Mosque. They assumed so they could be upset about something. Typical.
“They” are the CAIR, the Council on American — Islamic Relations, discussed in greater depth at The Counterterrorism Blog:

Big shocker here but they (CAIR) have been linked to terrorism themselves.
And just so no one thinks I am just picking on Islam, it pisses me of that a Christian group is mad at a silly Playstation add that had Jesus in it as well.
I really wish people had a little humor and humility when it comes to themselves.
