   Good Afternoon my friends,
   This post is ded­i­cated to all you Marines out there who think the Corps will live for­ever and who took gross offense at my last post anounc­ing the death of the U.S.M.C. well let me bur­ing you up to date.
   With this rota­tion into Iraq and Afghanistan Marine Battalions are now being con­sid­ered inter­changable with Army Battalions with in the struc­ture of the BCT. Marine O6’s will won­der in and out of Command of BCT’s punch­ing there career ticket the same as Regular Army O6’s. This is a huge step into the Armyization of the Marines.
   The arti­cle above regard­ing the U.S.M.C’s. get­ting let in on the Spec. Op’s black bud­gets is the result of a deal struck between Commandant General Hugee and Army General Bryan D. Brown, side step­ping the Navy. With both Camp Lejeune and Ft. Bragg neigh­bors and with the imped­ing realign­ment of Polf AFB, it’s quite cozy.
   The 82ed. Abn. Div. is now a Light Infantry Division in the same mode as the 101st., 10th. and 25th. Division. The Airborne flame will be kept burn­ing for now by the 173ed. Abn. Bdge. in Italy.
   Of course the Navy isn’t take all this screw­ing lay­ing down. In a press release on 10/​13/​05 CNO Adm. Michael Mullen announced the cre­ations of Navy Epeditionary Battalions of 800 to 1000 (does this look like the old Marine ARG) and a “Brown Water Navy” that would use Swift Boats (yes they are still being made) and PRB’s, it is assumed that this will be the land­ing place for the Navy’s recently cre­ated Special Boat Units that were part of the SEALS who are as we speak slip­ping out of Navy con­trol and falling under the umbrella of the “Spec.Op’s” com­mand.
   Where does this leave the Marines?
   It appears that along with the SEALS the Navy will be glad to see the last of them and there expen­sive oper­a­tional costs. Marine Battalions appear to be more and more the Med. Infantry Battalion the Army has craved.
