   Regarding the troop morale link: The name of the link as well as the article’s title might be a lit­tle mis­lead­ing. The fol­low­ing is from the body of the linked arti­cle (caps are mine):
   “The MAIL SURVEY, con­ducted Nov. 14 through Dec. 23, is the third annual effort by the Military Times to mea­sure the opin­ions of the active-​​duty mil­i­tary on polit­i­cal and morale issues. THE RESULTS SHOULD NOT BE READ AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE MILITARY AS A WHOLE.“
   Thus, it shoudln’t be used to gen­er­al­ize. Someone just glanc­ing through and not read­ing the entire arti­cle will undoubt­edly be given a dif­fer­ent impression.
