Hello. Found the blimp/plane post a day or two late.
The design being touted from Ohio is old, and unsound. First seen as "megalifter" from Lockheed in 1974. While airships have enourmous, global changing potential, they will not yet succeed until people leave the word "envelope" behind. Only a new modern interpretation of a "metalclad" airship has any real future; that, and leaving behind ALL airship designs that feature a rounded bottom hull. Period.
Also, DARPAs' Walrus program, et. al. that describe "hybrid" airships are failures in the making. No such future airship that still relies upon ANY (rough or short or whatever) RUNWAY is worth building.

P:
Not sure what "R****S****" you're talking about. E-mail me or post something a little less opaque, ok?
Thanks!

Sorry going off topic, but by the way, are you not going to cover the recent news about R****S****? I thought you would be excited writing an article here but surprised not. Was the story not exciting?

If you are lucky enough, you might be interested in posting another news about lie detectors in the next few days. Well, maybe. ;) I'll close my mouth shut for now.

I've read portion of the article on Wired News before it was posted here. At that time when I first attempted to access it, there was some kind of error that won't load the page from the link of Wired News, but I've thought you would be interested in this and might post it, as well as stories about airships. I think not many people would be interested in blimps and airships with images of old tech. Meanwhile, I think those who are interested (and talk about) with blimps/airships for military applications have good sense knowing the real value of something useful for military applications.
