That is true, a round coming through the floor may be an issue, but might well go through one’s crotch as well. Armor cannot protect from everything. Like they they told me on my wrestling team when we were issued a protective “cup”, “they are only protection, not a guarantee.”

A round coming through the floor may also go under the ceramic plate of the boat anchor.…er, I mean Interceptor, as well.

Of course soldiers and Marines prior to this generation did it with only fragmentation vests, and the generation before, no vests at all. In as much as you may call an individual being fired on “lucky”, they are fortunate to have protection that was not part of their grand dad’s gear.

If I had to choose, I would go with lighter, more flexible, may not be perfect in every scenario Dragon Skin. Dragon skin being lighter, I wonder if it can be made into layers that oppose direction underneath and still maintain a weight advantage over the heavy, heavy Interceptor?

I propose a test. Take each man involved, the Army people who claims one vest is better and those who are against Dragon Skin (which I WISH I could afford) and tell each man separately so no one hears the recorded conversation, and tell them they will go to a free fire zone to see how the armor holds up; take the vest of your choice and see what they choose. If the men lying about Dragon Skin CHOOSE Dragon Skin, it would speak volumes. If the men who make it choose the Interceptor it will also speak volumes. Then publish the findings on the news.

I have worn the Interceptor, and it is cumbersome and heavy. Try to run in it! It will only protect from rifles on the ceramic plate, and only for a few rounds. If you are hit on the side, you will have a very bad day.

I wish I could find a concealable vest from Dragon Skin I could afford. If it will stand up to a grenade, it will surely protect me from handguns with minimal back face deformation.

I saw a test where Dragon Skin stopped steel core 7.62x39mm rounds, and if it will stop that, I’m sold.

I really don’t understand all the vicousness concerning this product. I saw the Future Weapons show with the former SEAL testing DS and it apparently did quite well. I guess what we need is to have some truely objective tests run by an equally objective tester. One on One, Dragon Skin vs. Current Military Armor. Multiple Rounds, Multiple Hits and Handgrenade Servivability. That’s the only way we’ll ever know the truth. Maybe MythBusters could be contacted or if not, I will volunteer my services for this test cycle.

I see that the cheer leaders for Dragon Skin have been quiet for some time now. Was the failed tests, the fraud investigations, the embarrassing testimony before congress, the NIJ revocation of certification, the Air Force placing Pinnacle on the denied parties list or the criminal investigation when they raided Pinnacle’s offices that put a damper on their enthusiasm?
I do remember one Robocop talking about how his whole tactical team wears Dragon Skin. I wonder how his team mates feel now that some truth has been shed on the Dragon Skin myth?

Remember my prediction about secret dealings with NBC and a 4 star general? Well now you know the rest of the story. Pinnacle and NBC orchastrated this ambush of the Army along with General Wayne A. Downing. It will be interesting to see the Army and USSOCOM reaction to this whore who would sell our soldiers out for money. I hope he enjoys spending his Pinnacle allowance, it won’t last long after they are all in jail for fraud.
