Afghan Embed, All Wrapped Up

Army-infantryman-turned-blogger Bill Roggio just got back from a month-long embed with coalition forces in Afghanistan, where he reported on everything from Kabul’s four traffic lights to the “Talibanization of western Pakistan.” Check out his posts and pics from Afghanistan here.

Sometime ago I read a comment from somebody complaining on the slant this site has been putting on the news lately. I was not sure I understood.
Now I understand: I find your paragraph deprecatory of Bill Roggio

Bill Roggio now cooperates with Counter Terrorism blog. It’s members sometime contributes to Associated Press and other major media source, providing expertise knowledge on terrorism related issues (probably appears much as Global Security.org). Bill Roggio is rather focused on the military events than other portions of the insurgency, but I guarantee his and Counter Terrorism blog staffs’ quality of information. It is much better than Juan Cole who does not even understand the events of 1920 Revolution of Iraq. It is also much better than Wikipedia that portraits him as a reliable source.

    Luc,
Noah and I are friends, and I greatly respect his work here at DefenseTech. I assure you that I did not interpret anything he said as “deprecatory.” Noah pointed out the embed page I assembled and I appreciate it.
