We already have bullet proof textbooks. When I was in high school English, quite a few of us didn’t like the Dickens’ “David Copperfield” much. One of my friends took this to an extreme level and set up the book in front of a target at his backyard shooting range and fired a .22 at it. The bullet entered the front of the book, but didn’t manage to make it out the other end.
Admittedly, he didn’t fire at point blank range, but I’m sure that Dickens’ isn’t the only plausible book for this purpose.
