I don’t get it…
it makes it worse that there are no links to any source material, so for example most people will look at that picture and have no idea what it really is, and no way of looking up why it is significant enough to warrant a defensetech post based around it.
I think defensetech readers are generally going to be a tough crowd anyway when it comes to comedy. This site has always been pretty serious as far back as I’ve read it.
This has obvious association to military defense. We use the magnet to bring in all the space junk at the correct angle then aim it all at Russia. It’s not like they haven’t dumped tons (literally) of junk on us.
FWIW, I think it’s laugh out loud hilarious.
It seems not everyone was happy with this article. I’ll show another for those who expected a professional solution. Don’t shrug with the title because it’s from newscientist.

LMAO, great title. I’m Indian (the dot, not the feathers kind) and see nothing wrong with poking some fun at each other’s cultures. There’s rib-jabbing humor and there’s blatant bigotry, I think most of us are smart enough to know the difference and we should chill out on the political correctness nonsense.
