A perfect distraction from a Friday that just keeps dragging on.

Best line: “We’re not doing that anymore…“

Looks like a double ricochet, a fragment bounced off of the target, bounced again in front of the gun and into him

Guess the iron means they hit and bounced off of an iron plate that the bullet could not ricochet off of.

I would assume that some kind of blowout flashback stole his hat.

What makes these guys gun nuts? Is it the southern drawl?

Galls is right, these guys were shooting at ‘iron’, to see just how much a Barrett can blast through. The bullet probably went through, but it tossed a chunk of the engine block or whatever it was up in the air, you can hear it whirring back and then it hit 5 yards in front of the shooter and bounced off his ear protection. Might not of killed him if it had hit him in the face, but it sure would have ruined his day if it hadn’t.
That is why he should have been shooting at more than a hundred yards, or so…

anyone who spends what, ten grand? on a .50cal rifle can probably be considered a “gun nut”. it’s not something a casual shooter would own.

Enthusiast is a far better word.
That’s right commerade, in our workers paradise, you can only spend your money on state approved purchases.…like a overpriced Prius.
BTW you can put together a good .50 BMG for far less than $4k.
