Excellent. I served at MCAS Iwakuni from 1987–1989. It was the best two years of my entire military career.

That 240 bn yen is about $2 bn US. So the Japanese have almost order of magnitude more spending in the project more than the US so far. I guess they’re planning to get back in the game.
