Wasn't the story of vietnam and the spookies that said a base that has a spooky or shadow doing overflight and base defense that base was never overrun? I know these things aren't armed but their surveliance laser range finders/gps equiptment would make the base's mortars and artillery almost as effective by having a spotter with a good vantage point at all times. With this the mortars and artillery could be working out the fire data as the enemy is just starting to set up. Combine with that boomerang sniper spotter and I wonder if they could locate single shots coming from any direction around a blimp. and btw that blimp looks pregnant

I like the idea of this stuff.
