A Couple Good Vids of the Georgia Fighting

This one is described as “Raw Footage Following Georgian Troops.” Notice the Su-25 “Frogfoot” being used in the air-to-ground attack. That’s the Sov version of the A-10 and was used extensively in Afghanistan back in the day.
Here’s another one that I’m not sure of the context. Since the upload date says Aug. 7 I wonder if it’s Georgian troops and Ossetian rebels.

Probably UB-32 rocket pods (57mm)… Similar to what you see on Hind gunships and the Russian equivalent of cheap 2.75″ Zunis (“FFARS”)

    HumanPestControl,
Can you safely & confidently guarantee that we could knock out the Russian military industrial complex? The U.S. has a finite number of M1 Abrams tanks. For argument’s sake, let’s say that the U.S. only has a total of 8,000 tanks. That includes the stripped down chassises waiting to be rebuilt.
Russia has the potential to put out T-90 tanks in the numbers that we produced Sherman tanks during World War II.They can replace each & every tank we blow up.
If they blow up an M1 Abrams tank,we have to collect what’s left of it,ship it back to the states & rebuild it. Even going through all of that rebuilding, refurbishing,& recycling of M1 Abrams tanks,we will still have only 8,000 of them. That figure will NEVER increase. If the Russians decide to “deny the enemy” & keep hold of the M1 Abrams corpse they just blew up(meaning we can’t “recycle” it),then we are down to 7,999 tanks(even less if they keep “denying the enemy” by holding on to M1 Abrams corpses, not because they can use them, but to keep us from putting them back into service).
Let’s face it,the U.S. & the rest of NATO have a serious problem with our main battle tanks because we chose to close the factories & break the mold for them. The U.K. decided to close down the factory that makes tank rounds for the rifled tank gun on the Challenger 2. Now they have to change guns to a German smoothbore gun,or they won’t be able to fight with their Challenger 2 anymore. The Germans not only stopped making the Leopard 2,but they stopped making spare parts & now they are fast running out to supply all of the nations using the Leopard 2 tank. France just let all of their military equipment fall to s**t & like I said before,I don’t know how many Leclercs are fit for combat.
I have just explained the problem with the “world’s greatest tank,” the Abrams.
We emasculated our navy so badly, that we need civilian ships to resupply & refuel our aircraft carriers & destroyers(yeah,I know that our carriers are nuclear powered, but our destroyers are not) & we need Canada & our European NATO allies to provide anti-submarine warfare coverage for us. Forget bombing Iran with our naval assets if NATO isn’t on board because of this.
Instead of being “independent”,we have become enslaved by the NWO & the UN & we are now “interdependent.“
Forgive me for being blatantly rude, but only a moron with their head in the sand or up their arse would not be able to see this.
There is NO F**KING WAY IN HELL we can touch the interior of Russia with our missiles or bombs,so those factories will keep s**ting out tanks & other equipment non-stop

Operation barbarossa ever enter your noggin HumanPestControl?
The Germans had better solders and better tanks. Hell they took 5 million soviet prisoners. They thought the Soviets were on their last leg. I guess that should have put the nail in the soviet coffin right? Please HPC get a clue. You start to stir a hornets nest and see what happens in a war of attrition. We only have so many apaches and M1a1’s. You might feel comfy in your cyber blanky hoping to god that there is no re-incarnate Zukoff, me not so much. You think a General Franks would be blitzkriegging through the steppes undaunted, burning and pillaging like a mad arian? NO NO NO.

    HumanPestControl’
For what whould be perceived to be Russia’s strategy,a blue water navy does not figure in to it.The only place that Russia could put a “blue water navy” would be in Siberia on the Pacific & in the Arctic Ocean. If they put a fleet in the Baltic Sea(St. Petersburg) or the Black Sea,they’d be bottled up.
The Russians’ plan is to be a land power. They will move through Georgia,Azerbaijan,& Armenia on one side of the Caspian Sea & Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan,Tajikistan,Kyrgyzstan,& Turkemistan down the other. With Iran,TURKEY,& the former Soviet Central Asian States as a military alliance,Russia will then move through Iraq towards Israel with a combined African Union army led by Libya & the Sudan attacking Israel through the bombed out Egypt(from a previous war between Israel on one side & Hamas(Palestine),Hezbollah(Lebanon),Syria,Jordan,& Egypt on the other).
Russia does not need a navy to try to invade Israel.

The Sherman tank was a total piece of crap compared to the German Tiger tank. The ONLY advantage that the Sherman had was that we made so damn many of them compared to the finite number of tiger tanks.
This is the same situation with the Russian T-72,T-80,& T-90 tanks. They can produce so many while we cannot produce one M1 Abrams to replace any tank we lose. Saudi Arabia,Kuwait,Iraq,& Australia are getting their tanks from OUR stock,or at least Iraq & Australia are. Egypt is supposed to have a factory that still makes M1 tanks, but Israel could easily blow it out of existence.
Why is it so hard to comprehend this?

No,all of those Russian tanks are going through Georgia,Azerbaijan,Armenia,Kazakhstan,Uzbekistan,Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan,IRAN,TURKEY,& Iraq through to ISRAEL. They are not going through Europe.I also read where the U.S. Army is totally surprised with Russia’s speed in sending troops into Georgia.Obviously, they didn’t think that Russia was that sophisticated.

Roy, man you are nuts about some tank facts. Have you forgotten about the Air Force, Apaches, A-10s? You can try to come back with something about the Russian Air Force but it can’t even hold the jock strap (or training bra) of the USAF. The main battle tank is useful but grand Eastern Theater tank battles are way obselote.

    Alex,
I am aware of WW2 history, and am not advocating a conflict, but this is about me and Roy’s tank obsession during WW3, and a fear, that somehow Russia has a better, larger, and a more powerful military, using their ‘vast’ manufacturing capacity and high tech systems.
I specifically wrote, the US would never invade Russia proper; this is (war gaming)) only about freeing Georgia proper. The Russians will never and can never occupy all their old Soviet stomping grounds, so a widening campaign would not happen too much.
I don’t buy the quality vs quantity arguments for a variety of reasons, anyway. Yes, I do believe history is over rated for a guide to the future. A philosophical argument, not all that popular but keeps the play book fresh and I find it more relevant to actual world events.
The simple fact that the US can bomb the hell out any country in the world, and no one can bomb the US mainland with conventional weapons. We know it takes the US 2 years to mobilize its industrial base. The US is still the largest manufacturing base in the world, despite the fears to the contrary. (even bigger than our outsourcing friend China)
I know it is Americans’ nature to make threats bigger than they are, or even make some up, but Russia is not the Soviet Union, and even the Soviets were much more pathetic than we all thought. Stop watching ‘Red Dawn’.
Better ‘safe than sorry’ arguments are BS as well.
US/NATO vs Russia and who? 30 trillion dollar GDP vs 2 trillion GDP. But the Russians have more resources..etc.?
    China won’t be helping anyone.

“The US is still the largest manufacturing base in the world,“
You are wrong, his is the last year of the US.
Next year China will be officialy the first in the world.
” 30 trillion dollar GDP vs 2 trillion GDP. But the Russians have more resources..etc.?“
Let me tell you one think,
    100 TRILLION DOLLARS.
That it the debt the US have.
And guess who owns them, CHINA and RUSSIA.
So, the moment they get angry, the obliterate the US economy, massive inflation, unenemployment, civil unrest in a country with million of armed people very angry with the government…
Let me tell you which econmies are growing and which ones are losint, negative groth… russian estimated aprox for next years, 5%, china, 8–9%, US, –1%…
Guess which countries have been buying massive cuantities of gold and silver? Russian and China, this will back their currencies the day you discovered Cheney sold your gold to Russia so he could pay his wars…
So, tell me, the moment you go to war…
Who the hell is going to lend a single cent to an overextend massively in debt in a reccesion with skyrocketing inflation and unemployment and a very long and difficult war coming?
Your military has never been so weakened.
And you haven’t read the latest about new generation warfare, yes, yous planes can be bombed in US soil while they are sleeping, its called terrorism, and if you are at war or about to enter one, your enemies will easily fund and equip their own special forces teams who could already be in US soil and order to do massive damage at night in terrorist ops, and with your 26 intelligence agencies and growing, your coordination would be minimal, even less with satellites down.
So don’t assume that because you are at peace you be attacked first in a preemptive one.

HAHAHAHAHHAHA, if Russia/China destroy US economy, by your logic China/Russia would have lost $100 trillion of their own money, lost their entire economy as well by losing the biggest market of their products, put US 5750+ nuclear arsenal at risk, lost bread basket of the world (I guess you don’t need wheat/corn/rice/beef), and pushed the world even worse than what the barbarians did to Rome. It took 1500 years to catch back up to Roman standards. This time, I doubt if the world can come back at all. You don’t think you can withstand the nuclear war, do you?

You are wrong. They don’t depend on the US, the don’t need you, sure, you are a good client, you buy all the shit they make, even your core networking equipment is made in china (with gifts inside).
The US can’t survive. China will just slow down a bit and redirect the shit, the products to europe or to the new countries who will take the place of the US. They got the bigest manufctaring, the best bussiness incentives, and 1 billion of cheap worker still in china, maybe four hundred are already middle-class or about to become.
Of course, a neocon believes th romans were gods, well, if you ever put foot in roman territory you would see the ruins of all the cities they burned alive, the romans only brought two things, poverty and propaganda, the destroy everything, slave, and tax so much people die of hunger while the romans had seven bitches each 24/7 in their palaces. Propaganda because they burned ancient libraries, old statues and anything that remembered the life without the new masters.
Keep scaring the world with your supernukes and your super shield, one day you won’t have even money to power them on. You know, there is enough dollars to buy the planet four times over. Only your nukes keep people afraid and using the green-toiler-paper.

And you just explain to the world what kind of people you are.
You threat with nukes those who dare to ask the US for the money the own them.
You ask the world for money, the world lends you money but you don’t want to pay it back, and if the countries who lend you the money (china) ask for what it’s theirs, You threat them with nuclear anhilation!
It’s not their problem that you have been printing dollar non-stop for a hundred years, no other country has ever commit such atrocity, you scam the whole planet with your ‘dollar-gold’ convertibility, one day you said, well, it seems we change our opinion uoaaah!! With the status of only superpower you force all the planet to only buy and trade oil with dollars, and the countries who dare to challenge you, get invaded, like Irak, or Iran, all the while you install more military bases in central asia, you are the empire, not ‘the russians, but you got the press, you learned that from the nazis.
