I agree that all the available Aegis combat ships should be outfitted with the systems, and that the Army should be required to catch up with its comparable ground units. We (the American people) require a defensive umbrella around our country and our overseas (deployed) assets.
Nuclear proliferation continues, and the politicos haven’t the intestinal fortitude to take the measures necessary to stop it, thus the danger to Americans grows exponentially.
The problem is, as was alluded to in a previous posting, that our politicians will probably cancel or fail to fund any suggested appropriations to protect us from this threat while they instead throw our money at corprorations that have already failed. Our politicians often ignore the fact that the safety of the American people and the protection of the Republic is their paramount responsibility.

Knowing that every morning I wake up under protection of the US Navy and Aegis is a reassuring thing. That radar is amazing. Think about it. This system shoots down ballistic missiles while at sea and we can’t get a stationary, ground based system to do the same thing.

Bout time, we need this capacity.
Refit them ALL & add some shore based BMDs too.
Each Aegis should have 10 missiles for ASAT Use.
Or one magazine.
& be in each Task Group
