This is A Ballistic missile falling from a high sub-orbital altitude. The heat signature of a CBG compared to the surrounding ocean is probably quite large, Warheads have been capable of terminal phase maneouvering for many years now. So: Attach a decent IR sensor to a maneoverable re-entry vehicle, pop it into the general area of your CBG (you can see a lot from high up) and let it strike the hotspot. That should find your nice nuclear powered carrier, and warhead size is irrelevant, the kinetic energy of the incoming warhead will break any ship in two. Energy is mass x terminal speed. You could fill it with concrete and it would still work. As for triggering a nuclear war: A single launch detected would not trigger a response, they would wait for impact area prediction, number of warheads incoming, etc before makeing a recommendation to the President for a retaliatory strike if any. And CBGs are also vulnerable to long range rocket-powered supercavitation effect torpedoes which can travel underwater at speeds in the multi-hundred knot range, The CBG as a concept of power projection is becoming increasingly outdated when facing technologically advanced nations.

Excellent... and very accurate.

Also lots of fun: spreading memes like "they can't do jet engines" and "the build quality is crap".

U are telling that a mach 10 missile WILL NOT destroy an carrier? is this a joke or what? Those chinese missiles can destroy our carriers in one shot through kinetic energy. If our aegis systems try to shoot the missile down, then the chinese will simply use anti-radiation missiles on our aegis since our aegis ships are anti-aircraft radar stations.

Actually, the chinese will not be the first to start wars, we would because we are a nation that has started many many many wars in the past and present. Our government is alway sticking their noses in other people's businesses.

i forgot...should the war break out between our country and china, the chinese would just dump our dollar, and we lose. We would not be able to fund our military. It might hurt them, but they have been saving up a lot of money and their economy is booming far far far faster than our economy is.

Don't forget that the chinese has submarines too, and did u know that the chinese managed to sneak up near our ships during our military naval exercise?

When it comes to missiles, all you need is the guidance and the radar to track it which is simple. For us to defend, we need to make a whole bunch of calculations here and there in order to track the enemy missles and shoot them down. Like i said, if the chinese mass the missiles, we are finished.

Risking annihilation from our missiles? Right. Our carriers aren't really hard to hit. Our phanlanx systems are only capable of hitting missiles that go at 2-2.5 miles at most. If the chinese mass that, now what? Our aegis systems can hit missiles that go at mach 4-6, the chinese mass the DF-21, now what?

What would the Pentagon do if there are pla vessels off the US coast? Nullify them of course.
This is exactly what the PLA is doing. Stupid.
The US navy shd be defending the US from attack. This is misinterpreted to attack China other countries in order to make the US safe.So the US cannot blame the Chinese for modernising the missiles to neutralize threats to China's security. Got it.

Can't we all just be nice to each other? Unfortunately there is a vocal group of people of a certain skin color and ethnicity that likes to chest thump and brag about their ability to kill and destroy and it ain't the Chinese.
