A Hearty Welcome to the Team

jamie-mcintyre.jpg

I’m about to board a plane headed back to DC, but I wanted to quickly introduce — with much excitement — our newest member of the Military.com team.

Many of you know Jamie McIntyre from his days at CNN. He covered the military for the network for 16 years and was a CNN plank owner until recently when he left the network to get an advanced degree in journalism.

After months of back and forth we snagged him and just yesterday launched a cool new blog that he’ll run called The Line of Departure where he’ll bring to bear his vast experience and source base to analyze the current debate on defense and strategy and also delve into the issues that surround the military’s relationship with the public and the media.

Be sure to bookmark our new site and stay tuned for more from Jamie throughout Military.com. We already crashed the site on Friday with his breaking news story about Cami McCormack’s injury in Afghanistan, and that was before we officially launched the site. Clearly a sign of things to come from our new teammate.

Did he ask for blood this time too?
He sucked at what he did. He spent all those years near the military yet was invariably clueless.

Before you brag about the traffic his post generated, have you looked at the sort of comments that traffic produced? Is that something to brag about?

Yeah, to left leaning for me. But maybe that is why he worked for CNN…

A shining example of McIntyre’s sterling reporting:

So Jamie, how many lies did you tell for Eason Jordan?
F– CNN and all their traitorous spawn. This guy and his brethren only erode you credibility.

Advanced degree?? What is he an elitist? Education and science have nothing to do with reality right…that’s what I’ve been told to believe.…dinosouars never existed by the way.

I worked with Jamie several times when I was in uniform and later working the V-22 program as a civil servant. Say what you will about CNN; it could be said he left CNN because he’s too good at what he does.

“Let’s just say that we had another discussion today in which it was clear that the understanding that we had yesterday was not the same understanding we had today,” CNN senior Pentagon correspondent Jamie McIntyre explained.“
Good Lord, that’s spin worthy of Bill Clinton.

    Good Evening Folks,
Here is a radical left wing idea, why not wait for Jamie McIntyre to do some posting before we jump on him. He is a professional and has long experience. There is a lot of knowledge here on this and other mil.com sites.
Unlike at CNN and other broadcast outlets here he will face almost immediate criticism. Much of it is the you suck kind and Mr.McIntyre just has to blow that off as the rest of us do, but also there is a lot of knowledgeable people who also post and will challenge him at rather high levels of intellect.
Part of a new type of journalism is happening here and if we can establish ourselves as legitimate.
So give the guy a break, forget what he has done or said in the past, DT is a whole new ball game.
    ALLONS,
    Byron Skinner

Ca– ca– ca– can’t we all, can’t we all, just get along? Can’t we all just get along?
No. Screw that. If it walks like a duck and it sounds like a duck…
It’s funny how liberals always plead open-mindedness and tolerance when it’s one of their own but turn into blood-thirsty attack dogs when it’s a known conservative.

From a page in the liberal dictionary:
“Open Mind”…Definition: A liberal’s pleading to a conservative to ignore the obvious liberal bias he/she is witnessing and has witnessed.
Opposite of “Open Mind” is “Character Assassination”…Definition: A liberal’s necessary excoriating of a conservative due to their blatant right-wing bias which threatens the very fabric of American freedom, i.e. liberal causes. See: Robert Bork; Clarence Thomas; Sarah Palin; Lou Dobbs; Michael Steele; Ward Connerly; Rush Limbaugh; et. al.

I guess being a liberal means you can’t read because I provided three concrete examples of McIntyres irresponsible “reporting”, not just ad-hominem attacks.
    Oh, and BTW, F– CNN.

    Good Evening Folks,
By the vile reception that Mr. Mc Intyre is getting from the know nothing element of DT the goofy right wing, who chose only to engage in personal attack instead of using verifiable facts and reason to present their arguments, and they don’t do that very well ‚that Mr. Mc Intyre has kicked their bu**s more then once, good for him.
By they way, have any of you seen Mr. Mc Intyre’s birth certificate yet?
