Continuing our flood of videos this week at Defense Tech is this clip of the Scorpion helmet mounted cuing system that’s been developed by Gentech as a replacement for the 12 year-old Joint Helmet Mounted Cuing System (JHMCS).
The new system was developed about three years ago and features customized reticle displays that correspond to the cockpit displays of whichever type of jet the pilot is flying.

The company is "GENTEX", not "Gentech"
How ‘heavy’ this helmet is compared to the one for f-35?
Is this the same helmet they can't get to work in the F-35 ?
Aviation Week today.

apply this to armor TOO or patrol craft for gun sighting IE USCG harbor craft vs old style system,
Thinking as a platoon leader in a tank platoon… I have this thingamajiggy on my CVC and I spot a target, designate it and hand off to one of my tanks which appears on that tank's ivis, or whatever they're using now mebbe with directional pointers in the gunner's sight…just because fighters cost significant fractions of gigabucks these days doesn't mean this stuff can't trickle down.
The current generation of M1s already have this capability to a certain degree although not in a helmet mounted system. I know that they have net-centric warfare capability built into them now and that that whole line of tech is really big in the Army these days although I don't know if allows one tank to share target info with another or not but it probably does. I do know that with the M1A2s they have an independent thermal sight for the commander so that he can search for and mark targets independently of the gunner so it's possible that this data could be sent to other tanks if needed.
Yea it is Gentex, and it is not related to the F-35 HMCS, that one is an "evolved" version of the JHMCS (http://www.vsi-hmcs.com/pages_hmcs/03a_f35day.html) this one is going to be placed on the A-10 and F-16 Block 30/32.
