DT At the 2011 Paris Air Show

by John Reed on June 16, 2011

Yup, Defense Tech and sister site DoDBuzz will be covering the Paris Air Show next week. Check out our coverage from on the sites and our Twitter feeds.

In the meantime, here’s a list of the DoD personnel and aircraft that will be making an appearance at the show:

Deputy Defense Secretary Bill Lynn will be there, as will Brett Lambert from Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (Manufacturing and Industrial Policy). Top Pentagon weapons-buyer Ash Carter and PDUSD Frank Kendall will not be there there.  “From the JSF office, MajGen C.D. Moore and Joe Dellavedova are attending,” Lapan wrote.  There will be no F-35s at the show.

The U.S. military aircraft set for static display at Paris include: “CH-47F, LUH-72, RQ-7 Shadow UAV, AH-1Z, UH-1Y, HH-60G, F-15E, F-16C, C-130J, C-17A, C-5A.”

The right most airplane appears to be a B-17.
Interesting to size it up against the A-380. Looks like you could almost put two B-17s on each wing of the A-380.
